Metasys AS
The Johnson Controls Metasys AS series is a series of VMA or Variable Air Volume Modular Assembly controllers and digital unitary controllers. These controllers are employed to control variable air volume (VAV) boxes and HVAC components in building automation systems (BAS). The AS series VMA devices’ valve control mechanism is implemented to control airflow in VAV boxes. The VMA devices are available in a variety of models that can be configured for various applications. HVAC systems, including rooftop units and packaged terminal air conditioners (PTACs), can be controlled by AS series digital unitary controllers, and they are also available in a variety of models that can be configured for various applications. These VMA devices and digital unitary controllers can both be linked to a Metasys BAS system that allows them to be monitored and controlled from a single point or device. The BAS system may additionally be utilized to collect data from the controllers, which can then be used to optimize the HVAC system's efficiency. The Metasys BAS is a comprehensive system for controlling and monitoring all the components of a building's HVAC system, along with other systems like lighting, security, and fire alarms. The Metasys AS series controllers are well known for their dependability, simplicity, and flexibility, and they are used in a wide range of commercial and industrial structures. The IP20-rated enclosures for the devices in the Metasys AS series protect these devices from small solid objects such as dust and debris particles, but these enclosures are not waterproof.
