The PowerFlex 700 product series includes a vast array of adjustable frequency AC drives manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. These drives are easy to use and offer excellent performance for a wide array of different applications. With that, PowerFlex 700 adjustable frequency AC drives are an exceptional choice for applications that require speed control, torque control, and more. The drives of this product series operate via an input voltage ranging from 240 volts AC to 690 volts AC or 325 volts DC to 932 volts DC. Additionally, these drives operate in a three-phase operation mode. PowerFlex 700 AC drives have a current rating that ranges from 1.1 amperes to 875 amperes. Furthermore, the power ratings of these adjustable frequency AC drives range from 0.5 horsepower to 700 horsepower or the equivalent of 0.37 kilowatts to 500 kilowatts. For protection against various environmental hazards, PowerFlex 700 AC drives are equipped with an enclosure. The enclosures used for PowerFlex 700 AC drives include an IP20-rated NEMA/UL Type 1 enclosure, an IP54-rated NEMA/UL Type 12 enclosure, an IP00-rated NEMA/UL open-type enclosure, and an IP54-rated NEMA Type 12 enclosure. PowerFlex 700 adjustable frequency AC drives may include an operator interface, such as an LDC display and full numeric keypad, for data and command inputs, as well as for programming and configuration. These drives can communicate with other devices over the ControlNet, DeviceNet, or Ethernet/IP networks depending on what type of communication slot is available on the given drive. PowerFlex 700 AC drives may also include a 12-volt/5-volt encoder for feedback purposes.
