GE / IP FANUC Series 90/30 In Stock
This test is for part number IC693CPU350, and as usual the revision doesn’t matter as its the same for all versions; this test is the same for all of them.
This guide uses a five slot rack, an IC693CHS397, placed next to a high capacity power supply, IC693PWR330. Now turn it on.
As usual, the first thing to check for is that this OK light is on. If you do not have an OK light and it does not come on during the power up, you definitely have a problem with the CPU.
The CPU350 is pretty simple and you are just going to be testing two things:
Now make sure that you have a completely blank program for the purpose of getting this processor into run mode and testing the processor solely. There isn’t anything configured in the rack and the rack is totally empty and you want the same for the software so that when you power up you do not have any errors or missing modules.
Now it should be ready to go into run mode when you turn this switch and it should get a run LED on.
If you think that this CPU is still giving you problems, leave it running over night or over a weekend. The next day you come in to check on it, it should still be in run mode. It should not have kicked out on of run mode.
If it does, you obviously have a problem with it. What you want to do is go into your software that’s connected to it, and go to Target on your top menu bar. Down below there will be a Diagnostics to click on and the Diagnostics will tell you what happened.
