GE / IP FANUC Series 90/30 In Stock
The MorpHex MKIII is the third generation of a robot developed by Norwegian Kåre Halvorsen, aka Zenta, and is arguably the coolest transforming hexapod the internet has ever seen.
The MorpHex can roll or walk, depending on the terrain, and features flashing LEDs to announce its presence.
Thanks to a board by Sparkfun called an inertial measurement unit (IMU), which contains an accelerometer and gyroscope, the robot can easily calculate the proper orientation and speed in order to stabilize itself and control its movements.
While it is unclear as to when or if Halvorsen will ever send this baby into production, the hexapod continues to be a huge hit across the web with continuous updates and videos showing the capabilities of the MorpHex.
