The UK To Allow Driverless Cars On Public Roads By The End Of 2015
The UK has announced driverless cars will be allowed on public roads by the end of 2015, a major breakthrough since autonomous cars are only allowed on private roads at the moment.
Chancellor George Osborne and Business Secretary Vince Cable have been working hard to push the UK as “the place” for driverless car research and testing.
No timetable had been set until now, so this announcement essentially locks the UK into committing to a driverless car future.
