GE / IP FANUC Series 90/30 In Stock
DARPA’s three year, $2 million Robotics Challenge, recently lost a participant in the Japanese team Schaft, which was acquired by Google in November.
Rumor has it that Google has its eyes on a commercial product, and let’s face it Google doesn’t have to prove it self in a robotics contest.
DARPA program manager Gill Pratt said, “Team Schaft has elected to withdraw from the finals. They are going to be focusing on the development of their first commercial product. It was a very difficult decision for them, but they’ve really done extremely well and we’re really glad to see them being successful now in the commercial world.”
