GE / IP FANUC Series 90/30 In Stock
The DARPA Cyber Grand Challenge is a two year contest offering participants the opportunity to design fully automated network security systems capable of discovering and nullifying threats before they occur.
The computer security tournament will involve contestants the opportunity to break down other team’s systems while attempting to protect their own automated security network.
The Cyber Grand Challenge’s first qualifying event in 2015 requires participants to have their systems automatically evaluate and secure software sent out by DARPA.
The tasks/events will ramp up from there with the final event taking place in 2016 and requiring participating teams to “autonomously create network defenses, deploy patches and mitigations, monitor the network, and evaluate the defenses of competitors.”
By the way, there is pretty solid incentive to participate with the winning team receiving $2 million and the runner-up bringing in a cool $1 million.
