Coca-Cola’s Social Robot Joins The Party In Israel

Coca-Cola’s “Social Robot” allows Israeli teens to attend a festival virtually. Coca-Cola also sponsors a Summer Festival in Israeli that is quite popular among teenagers.

The annual event causes a social media buzz that the company uses in promotions.  Now they are offering a solution for the teens who cannot attend the festival in person.

The summer hormonal bonanza is a fun-filled event that can be appreciated from the comfort of home with an online connection.  Two-way audio and a webcam are mounted to the robot and all the sights and sounds can be taken in.  Interaction with those in attendance is possible is possible and users can participate in competitions.  The activity was tailor-made for young teenage boys to enjoy some human scenery provided by girls attending the festival.

The five robots on site and their balancing systems passed the robust tasks of traveling on grassy uneven inclines, working on gravel, and dealing with the heat.

Coca-Cola’s Social Robot is among several initiatives Coca-Cola is launching in Israel.  The teens welcomed the robots, even dancing and sunbathing with them.  Social robots became the stars of the event by providing an experience that could be shared by everyone.
