GE / IP FANUC Series 90/30 In Stock
Lead researcher, Ankur Mehta of MIT is leading a new wave of robotics which essentially allows you to print robots on a standard piece of paper using $20 or less.
The $20 goes towards the electronics that must be installed in the paper bots, which can basically be any shape you can fold paper into.
Computational geometry is the software responsible for creating the paper designs as a user can simply tell the software exactly the shape, size, and functionality he or she wants and a cut-and-fold pattern is produced!
MIT’s project has already received a $10 million grant from the National Science Foundation for further research into paper robotics as the idea is considered a wonderful tool for the future of robotics.
Which is…. Finally robots that don’t break the bank to experiment with!
