The GE Rx3i PAC System
This is the most modern GE system—the end product of the entire evolution of GE’s multiple intelligent system product lines over the past 30+ years. The original Rx3i units shipped with a CPU310 unit, and eventually expanded to the CPE310, which comes with built-in Ethernet capability. The original Rx3i units required a separate third module for Ethernet capability, and this third unit is no longer needed.
Since this system was designed to serve as the replacement for the older 90-30 series, it is backward-compatible and will work with the 90-30 system. The Rx3i backplane supports the original I/O configurations from the 90-30, making upgrading a seamless process. The Rx3i system also works as a replacement for almost all legacy GE PLC systems. It is the current gold standard of GE Fanuc PLC’s. The Rx3i uses both analog and digital I/O modules, as well as intelligent communication modules.
