Are Driverless Cars Potential Bomb Threats? The FBI Thinks So…
Everyone across the world is tuned in to the latest advancements in driverless car technology, except for the FBI.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation believes driverless vehicles will only aid criminals, from shooting at cops without having to have hands on the wheel to using automated cars as bombs.
A report obtained by The Guardian states driverless cars “will make mobility more efficient, but will also open up greater possibilities for dual-use applications and ways for a car to be more of a potential lethal weapon that it is today.”
While the FBI’s concerns are legitimate the bureau also mentions potential positives of utilizing automated vehicles such as following suspects without putting law enforcement in danger, directly behind the wheel.
