Bob Is a Security Robot Capable of Patrolling Your Office!
Bob is the name of a new security bot capable of patrolling an office with human colleagues.
Incredibly Bob has the ability to make his own rational decisions about security by taking 3D scans of rooms he enters and reporting items out of place or things out of the ordinary.
“Bob is not about replacing our security officers, Bob is a complementary activity,” says Stewart Angell of the security company G4S.
“He can pick up on some of the low level activities the guard does not necessarily need to be involved in.”
The best part about Bob is that when it is running on low battery, the robot will take itself to a docking station to recharge.
