The Sick CLV422-0010 is a high-density line scanner barcode reader designed for precise and efficient bar-code scanning. It features a fixed focus and utilizes a visible red light source for a reliable reading. With an MTBF of 20,000 hours and a compact design, it offers long-lasting performance in space-constrained environments. The scanner supports a wide range of code types, including Code 39, Code 128, Code 93, Codabar, GS1-128/EAN 128, UPC/GTIN/EAN, Interleaved 2 of 5, and Pharmacode. It offers a scanning frequency of 400 Hz to 1,200 Hz, ensuring fast and accurate barcode detection. The code resolution can be adjusted between 0.15 mm and 0.5 mm, providing high-resolution scanning capabilities. Multiple interfaces are available for connectivity, including serial (RS-232, RS-422/-485), AUX (only RS-232), Ethernet (optional), CAN bus, PROFIBUS DP (optional), and DeviceNet (optional). The scanner features switching inputs and outputs for sensor integration and result indication functions. In terms of mechanics and electronics, the CLV422-0010 is built for durability. It has a die-cast zinc housing with an IP65 rating, protecting against dust and water ingress. According to IEC standards, the scanner operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 °C to +40 °C and can withstand vibrations and shocks. The electrical connection is made through a 15-pin D-Sub HD male connector, and the operating voltage ranges from 10 V DC to 30 V DC. With a low power consumption of 3.5 W, it offers energy efficiency.
