R88D
The R88D series by Omron Automation is a range of AC servo drives designed for motion control applications. Most of its servo drives can use a built-in Mechatrolink-II feature for reliable communications. In addition, R88D servo drives comply with several industrial standards and are designed to be easy to install, maintain, and store even in limited spaces. The R88D series comprises multiple servo drives with different voltage options and ratings, including single-phase 100 Volts AC voltage ratings, single-phase 200V AC voltage ratings, and three-phase 200V AC voltage ratings. Each R88D servo drive is compatible with different Omron R88M series servo motors. At the same time, the R88D drives are designed to control compatible servo motors in an energy-efficient manner and enhance their process control functions. The R88D series servo drives feature high-accuracy positioning options with fully-closed control options. This ensures precise and dependable control over motion, enabling seamless operation in various industrial scenarios. Safety is a paramount consideration in the design of the R88D series servo drives. Some of the R88D servo drives support a Safe Torque Off (STO) function, which is critical for supporting the connected motor's mechanical lifespan. The STO feature allows for the rapid and secure shutdown of the servo when necessary. Another notable advantage of the R88D series servo drives is their ability to suppress vibrations during acceleration and deceleration, even in low-rigidity mechanical systems. By suppressing vibrations, the drives ensure smoother and more stable operation, thereby enhancing overall performance and extending the operational lifespan of the servo motors and other equipment in the system and by enhancing their own performance.
