Omron's DRT1-ID16 remote input terminal is a slave device designed for use in an Omron programmable controller system. This terminal's 16 NPN transistor inputs support dependable and efficient process monitoring and control. Accurate signal detection is guaranteed by the input points. These input points work with ON voltage ratings of 15V DC minimum and OFF voltage ratings of 5V DC maximum. Energy efficiency is improved and power consumption is reduced in the DRT1-ID16 input terminal by capping the OFF current at 1 mA. The maximum current that may be supplied to each input point is 10 mA at 24V DC. The DRT1-ID16 accepts a communications power supply voltage range of 11 to 25V DC from the communications connection and a voltage range of 20.4 to 26.4V DC for the internal and I/O power supplies. It has a dielectric strength rating of 500V AC, and so it can effectively isolate and protect individual circuits. Another feature that contributes to the terminal's dependability is its minimum insulation resistance rating of 20 megaohms at 250V DC between all of the isolated circuits. The DRT1-ID16 can function in a variety of industrial settings because it is compatible with ambient temperatures between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius and humidity levels between 35% and 85%. The DRT1-ID16 is easy to install with M4 screws or a DIN 35-mm track. Its mounting strength is 50N in general and 10N for the track direction. The DRT1-ID16 terminal weighs about 170g and it comes with DIP switches, DIN track mounting hooks, and a terminal block.
