The CS1W-RPT01 unit is an Omron repeater unit. The repeater can be used to add additional nodes to a network without disrupting or disconnecting power for the existing network. It supports all controller link units and boards for wired networks. It can be used to build or expand a network that hosts up to 62 nodes. The CS1W-RPT01 repeater unit uses twisted-pair cables. The unit does not mount on a PLC. Instead, the unit can be mounted to a DIN track or screw-mounted. The CS1W-RPT01 repeater unit weighs 130 grams. The current consumption rating of the unit is 60 milliamps at 24 Volts DC. The inrush current rating is 2.5 Amps at 24 Volts DC. The unit can accept input voltages ranging from 20.4 to 26.4 Volts DC. The CS1W-RPT01 repeater unit supports 1 power connector to connect to a power terminal block. Within a single network segment, the transmission path that is used is a multi-drop path, and the supported transmission rates are 2 Mbps for 500 meters, 1 Mbps for 800 meters, and 500 Kbps for 1 km. Within a whole network, the supported transmission type is tree-type transmission, and the applicable transmission distances are 2 Mbps for 1.5 km, 1 Mbps for 2.4 km, and 500 Kbps for 3 km. The repeater must not be used in areas with direct sunlight, in areas where the humidity and temperature levels are outside the recommended limits, or in areas where corrosive/flammable gasses are present. The CS1W-RPT01 repeater unit should be inspected on a periodic basis to ensure proper operation. Omron recommends carrying out inspections at least once every 6 to 12 months. If the CS1W-RPT01 repeater is subject to temperature or humidity extremes, inspections need to be conducted more frequently.
