The CS1W-PDC55 special I/O unit is an isolated-type DC input unit manufactured by Omron Corporation. It is designed to provide precise and reliable monitoring of DC signals in industrial automation systems. The module features 8 input channels, allowing it to monitor up to 8 separate DC input signals. It can be used in conjunction with other units, and a maximum of 80 units can be used within the same system, provided the total current consumption and power consumption remain within the allowable range. Each unit is assigned a unique number from 00 to 95, ensuring there are no duplicate special I/O unit numbers. The CS1W-PDC55 module supports multiple input signal types, including 0 to 10V, 0 to 5V, 1 to 5V, and 4 to 20mA. Each input channel can be configured separately for the desired input signal range. The maximum input ratings are +/-15V for voltage signals and +/-30mA for current signals. The module has a current consumption rating of 0.18A at 5V and 0.06A at 26V, which is the amount of current it requires for its own operation. For data exchange with the CPU unit, the CS1W-PDC55 module has a special I/O unit area with a capacity of 10 words per unit. It also allocates 100 words per unit in the DM area for data specific to special I/O units. Additionally, it provides a 1-word expansion control/monitor area capacity per unit. The resolution of the module is 1/16,000 of full scale, allowing for precise measurement and monitoring of the input signals. It has a warmup time of 10 minutes and a conversion period of 250ms for the 8 inputs for determining the time interval between successive conversions. The front panel of the CS1W-PDC55 module features three LED indicators for easy status monitoring. It is equipped with a detachable sensor input connector terminal block, providing a convenient and secure connection for wiring. The module has a minimal impact on the CPU unit cycle time, adding only 0.4ms to the processing time. With dimensions of 35mm (width) × 130mm (height) × 126mm (depth), the CS1W-PDC55 module is compact and can be easily integrated into control panels or other equipment.
