Omron's CQM1-ME04K Memory Cassette is a crucial part of the Programming Console, allowing EEPROM-formatted data to be written and stored. This memory cassette has a read-only memory (ROM) configuration with a capacity of 4K words. It is ideal for storing sensitive data such as the PC Setup, user's application, fixed DM, and instructions table. By using ROM, data integrity is protected against accidental or malicious changes. Furthermore, the Memory Cassette provides practical versatility for adjusting control procedures since settings and programs may be quickly adjusted by simply swapping out the cassette. Specific EEPROM chips with a rapid access time of 150 ns are needed for EPROM-type Memory Cassettes. These chips include the ROM-ID-B (8K words), ROM-JD-B (16K words), and ROM-KD-B (32K words). The Memory Cassette has plenty of room for your data since it can hold up to 8K words of text. It includes the user's program storage space in the User Program Memory (UM) region, as well as the Fixed DM (from DM 6144 to DM 6568) area for user access, the PC Setup (from DM 6600 to DM 6655) area for configuring CQM1 operational settings, an Instructions Table for allocating expansion instructions, and other data. Ladder Support Software (LSS) or SYSMAC Support Software (SSS) and a PROM Writer are needed to program the Memory Cassette. Manually using LSS/SSS or automatically at CQM1 startup, data may be retrieved from the Memory Cassette and loaded into the device. The CQM1-ME04K Memory Cassette is a dependable and efficient data storage solution that protects stored information and makes it easy to implement new control procedures with little disruption.
