The Omron CQM1-IA121 module is an AC input module that is used in CQM1 Programmable Controllers (PLCs), and its purpose is to improve the operational efficiency and control of those PLCs. The CQM1-IA121 input module has 8 input points that it uses to connect a PLC to other devices. It accepts an input voltages range of 100 to 120 Volts AC, +10%/-15%, at 50/60 Hz. This input module is designed for DIN rail mounting along with the other modules and components that constitute the whole CQM1 PLC. The CQM1-IA121 input module is easy to connect to the modules on either side of it because it has connectors on its sides that fit the corresponding connectors on the sides of the other PLC system modules. This input module also has locking tabs that the users can slide towards the back to lock the module in place in the system. For safety, the CQM1 PLC must be shut down before the CQM1-IA121 input module can be installed, removed, or replaced. The CQM1-IA121 input module comes with LED indicators to display status updates for the operators and to make troubleshooting the module easy. The CQM1-IA121 input module is a terminal block type of I/O module. Its 8 inputs all have the same common and 1 circuit. Its typical input current rating at 100 Volts AC is 5 milliamps. Additionally, the CQM1-IA121 input module operates with 50 milliamps of maximum internal current consumption at 5 Volts DC. The CQM1-IA121 AC input module supports 20 kiloohms of input impedance at 50 Hz and 17 kiloohms of input impedance at 60 Hz.
