CPM1
The CPM1 series is a compact and high-speed Programmable Controller (PC) series developed by Omron. Designed for systems requiring 10 to 50 I/O points per PC, the CPM1 series offers various features that enhance its functionality and performance. One of the notable features of the CPM1 series is its one-piece construction. The CPU Units include 10, 20, or 30 built-in I/O terminals, eliminating the need for separate modules and simplifying installation. Additionally, an Expansion I/O Unit can be connected to the CPU Unit, providing 20 I/O points and allowing for expansion of up to 90 points. The CPM1 incorporates an input filter function to prevent incorrect operation caused by noise or chatter in the input signal. Users can select an input time constant from a range of options from 1 ms to 128 ms to ensure reliable signal processing. For enhanced reliability and maintenance, the CPM1 utilizes flash memory for memory backup, eliminating the need for batteries. This low-maintenance design ensures data retention even during power outages. The CPM1 series conforms to EC directives, including EMC and low-voltage directives, making them suitable for integration into equipment intended for the EC market. Other notable features include input interrupts, quick-response inputs, interval timers, high-speed counters, analog setting functions, and various communication options such as Host Link communications and 1-to-1 link connections. The CPM1 series also utilizes standard peripheral devices and is compatible with multiple software. With its compact size, high-speed operation, and versatile features, the CPM1 series by Omron provides a reliable and flexible solution for control operations in automation systems with moderate I/O requirements.
