The Omron CJ1W-TER01 unit is an end cover that was designed for installation in Omron CJ series programmable controllers (PLCs). This unit’s sole purpose is to cover the rightmost end of a rack in an Omron CJ series PLC, but it is an essential PLC component. The CJ1W-TER01 end cover must be installed at the rightmost end of the PLC’s CPU rack, and additional CJ1W-TER01 end covers must be installed at the rightmost end of any expansion racks in the PLC. Fatal errors will occur in the PLC if there is a rack in the PLC without an end cover. The CJ1W-TER01 end cover connects to the rightmost module on a CPU rack or expansion rack with the same type of connectors that all of the modules in the rack use to connect to each other. The CJ1W-TER01 end cover can connect to a basic I/O module, a special I/O module, or a CPU bus module in a CPU rack or an expansion rack. This end cover weighs about 5.2 ounces. Installing the CJ1W-TER01 end cover in a rack is one of the first steps of assembling and installing a complete CJ series PLC. The CJ1W-TER01 end cover and the CPU, power supply, and I/O modules must be installed on the CPU rack and have the DIP switches set before they can be wired. The CJ1W-TER01 end cover’s ambient temperature range for operation is 0-55 degrees Celsius. It can also operate at a relative humidity level of up to 90% if there is no condensation.
