It is part of the Omron C500 product line, and it was designed to be used as an optional device or replacement part for a compatible type of Omron C200H series input or output module. The Omron C200H series input and output modules use connector devices such as the C500-CE242 external connector device to make external connections with other devices in a system.The C500-CE242 external connector device can be used to replace a damaged or faulty external connector device for a compatible C200H series input or output terminal. This connector device is a solderless type of connector device. It uses crimp connections instead of soldered connections. It is also a 24-pin type of external connector device because it includes 24 pins. The C500-CE242 external connector device comes with a connector cover that protects its connectors from debris, dust, and small amounts of moisture. The C500-CE242 external connector device is designed to be compact in order to save installation space. It will not add a large amount of length, width, or depth to the input or output module that hosts it. It also designed to simplify the wiring process for an input or output module. The C500-CE242 external connector device can operate at ambient temperatures of 0 to 55 degrees Celsius with 35 to 85% non-condensing relative humidity.
