The C200HW-COM03-V1-1 Communication Board by Omron is an optional board that may be installed in the option slot of different C200HX/C200HG/C200HE CPU Units. The CPU device and other suitable communication units, such as Controller Link, SYSMAC LINK, SYSMAC NET, or other units linked through a Bus Connection Unit, may exchange data and communicate reliably thanks to this device. The board offers half-duplex communication and starts-stop synchronization thanks to its RS-422A/485 connector and conformance to the EIA RS-422A/485 interface standard. It provides versatile baud rate settings between 1,200 and 19,200 bps to ensure compliance with various communication needs. The point-to-multipoint transmission technique enables data flow across several networked devices. The board supports up to 500-meter transmission lengths, offering flexibility in various application situations. SUM2 and CRC-16, two protocol macro capabilities, provide effective error checking during transmission. Additionally, possibilities for sequence control are improved by features such as the Repeat Counter N Present Value, Sequence End Flag, and Sequence Abort Flag in the SR region. The board permits the insertion of check codes following the SYSMAC-PST and CX-Protocol message sequence terminator. The error check code's upper and lower bytes can also be switched, broadening compatibility and customization possibilities. The Communication Board features a small form factor and a low current consumption of 0.2 A at 5 V. Its dimensions are 42.5 x 134 x 98 mm (W H D). It is compatible with C200HX/HG/HE-CPU()()-ZE CPU Units and includes an XM2A-0901 plug and XM2S-0911 hood as standard accessories.
