MELSERVO MR-J4
Mitsubishi Electric created the MELSERVO MR-J4 series of servo amplifiers to control a variety of Mitsubishi Electric servo motors. The MR-J4 servo amplifiers leverage cutting-edge technology to control the position. The MR-J4 servo amplifiers are general-purpose servo amplifiers that are powered by AC voltage. Some of the MR-J4 servo amplifiers can use a Modbus RTU communication function or an RS-422/RS-485 communication function, but they cannot use both functions simultaneously. Several MR-J4 servo amplifiers can connect to external encoders in linear servo motor systems and in loop systems that are fully closed. Many of these servo amplifiers have built-in dynamic brakes, and many of them support current control methods and sine-wave PWM control methods. Different MR-J4 servo amplifiers have different enclosure ratings and different cooling systems. There are several open servo amplifier models that have IP20 ingress protection ratings and natural cooling or force cooling options. The MR-J4 servo amplifier models with IP20 ingress protection ratings are not waterproof. Several MR-J4 servo amplifiers can operate with 3-phase AC voltage while others can operate with both 3-phase and 1-phase AC voltage. The MR-J4 servo amplifiers are equipped with a variety of protective functions, including functions that can shut the servo amplifiers off in overcurrent, regenerative overvoltage, and electronic thermal overload situations. They also have protective functions to protect themselves from encoder errors, regenerative errors, overspeed errors, and instantaneous power failure errors. The MR-J4 servo amplifiers are designed for applications in indoor environments that do not experience direct sunlight, corrosive gasses, or freezing conditions. The standard operating temperature range for MR-J4 series servo amplifiers is 0 to 55 degrees Celsius.
