Mitsubishi's MR-J3BAT PLC battery is a reliable and long-lasting lithium-ion battery created for a variety of applications in PLCs with servo amplifiers that use absolute encoders. This battery supplies dependable power for the absolute encoder in a servo amplifier. It operates with a voltage rating of 3.6 Volts and rated a capacity of 2000 mAh. The MR-J3BAT battery is designed to be compact with dimensions of 14.5 mm x 50.0 mm. It may be installed in a designated slot in a servo amplifier with an absolute encoder. It can be used with servo amplifiers in PLCs that support applications with CNC machine tools, servers, programmers, injection molding machines, printing presses, touch screens, meters, water meters, real-time clocks, memory backup power, and various measurement instruments. It comes with a connector for simple installation in MR-J3 servo amplifiers. It can be used to replace the previous battery in a servo amplifier. The MR-J3BAT battery has a long lifespan, but it cannot be recharged. The battery needs to be installed in a servo amplifier’s absolute encoder when the control circuit power is on. If the MR-J3BAT battery is removed or replaced when the control circuit power is off, the absolute position data that the encoder uses will be erased. The MR-J3BAT battery is one of the essential components in a complete absolute position detection system. The MR-J3BAT battery can be stored for up to 5 years after its manufacturing date, and its approximate battery backup time rating is 10,000 hours with the power off. It weighs about 15 grams.
