The Mitsubishi MR-J3-700B MELSERVO-J3 series device is a servo amplifier that controls compatible servo motors. It is compatible with Mitsubishi servo motors from the HF-SP product line that operate at speeds of up to 2000 RPM. The MR-J3-700B servo amplifier is also compatible with Mitsubishi servo motors from the HA-LP product line that operate at speeds of 1000 RPM, 1500 RPM, or 2000 RPM. This servo amplifier needs to have enough space around it to dissipate heat while operating or it may overheat and malfunction or suffer damage. The MR-J3-700B servo amplifier can support 88 Amps of inrush current from the main circuit supply, and it can support 30 Amps of inrush current from the control circuit supply. The inrush current rating of the main circuit supply will be attenuated to approximately 20 Amps in 20 milliseconds, and the inrush current rating of the control circuit supply will be attenuated to approximately 0 Amps in 3 milliseconds. The MR-J3-700B servo amplifier’s wiring length rating is 1 meter or 3.28 feet. The MR-J3-700B servo amplifier has a built-in regenerative resistor that supports 170 Watts of regenerative power. The voltage class that the MR-J3-700B servo amplifier belongs to is the 200V voltage class. It can support a compatible brake unit. For safety, the MR-J3-700B servo amplifier should be used with 1 magnetic contactor and 1 no-fuse breaker. It can also be used with a fuse instead of a no-fuse breaker for safety. The MR-J3-700B servo amplifier can also support an optional EMC filter in order to meet the EN standard’s EMC directive.
