Mitsubishi Electric's MR-J4-40B AC servo amplifier. This gadget is part of the MELSERVO J4 range product line. The servo amplifier was created to work with AC servo motors commonly seen in industrial settings. The MR-J4-40B is compatible with a variety of servo motor series, including rotary, linear, and direct. The servo amplifier can communicate with two distinct rotary servo motors, five distinct linear servo motors, and one direct drive motor. The servo motor power cable and the encoder cable can be used to connect these motors to the servo amplifier. The former cable can be connected to the lowest junction terminal block of the MR-J4-40B. The latter cable, on the other hand, can be connected to the CN2 port located beneath the terminal block. This model includes all of the normal accessories as well as a range of servo amplifier-specific capabilities in a compact design. It can be powered by a single-phase or three-phase at 200 to 240 VAC. The MR-J4-40B has a power consumption rating of 30 watts. This gadget also has a 20 to 30 amps inrush current rating. The MR-J4-40B can only control one (1) motor at a time because it only has one (1) axis. This servo amplifier includes dynamic brakes. These brakes allow connected servo motors to be stopped and slowed by turning mechanical energy into electric power. This servo amplifier comes with two (2) control options. The sine-wave PWM control method and the current control method are the two control approaches. This machine has an IP20 open-type enclosure that can naturally cool itself.
