Mitsubishi Electric designed and manufactured the MR-J3-20B, a servo amplifier part of the MELSERVO J3 device line. This series of servo amplifiers features rapid response times and high positioning accuracy, enables precise control of motor movement, as well as auto-tuning capabilities that simplify setup by automatically adjusting motor parameters for optimal performance. This MR-J3-20B amplifier comes with a 200 watts output power capability. This amplifier is powered by a 200 to 230 volts AC power source at a 50/60 hertz-rated frequency. Its interface power supply is also rated at 24 volts DC (+/-10%). The MR-J3-20B can transform or amplify low-power controller signals into higher-power signals. It can use the PWM (pulse-width modulation) capability to adjust the voltage flowing to the motor by turning the inverter's transistors on and off. Additionally, this item is interoperable with the HF-MP23 and HF-KP23 servo motors, which have a power supply capacity rating of 0.5 kilovolt-amperes. Its auxiliary drive energy consumption can be 30 watts. The current control method is also offered to be used by the MR-J3-20B servo amplifier. This item also includes an SSCNET III-based connectivity interface. The MR-J3-20B provides various safety features to its users, including the ability to prevent shutdowns due to under and overvoltages/currents. This servo amplifier has a natural-cooling facility with an open-style enclosure. The MR-J3-20B servo amplifier should only be used when the ambient temperature is between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius. This servo amplifier features an integrated regenerative resistor and a built-in dynamic brake; users can activate the dynamic brake under the load inertia moment.
