The control system for the MR-J2S-60A utilizes sine-wave Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and current control techniques to enable precise and smooth operation. The MR-J2S-60A incorporates several protective functions such as the overcurrent shutdown function, overload shutdown (electronic thermal) function, servo motor overheat protection function, encoder fault protection function, regeneration fault protection function, sudden power outage protection function, overspeed protection function, and excess error protection function. The MR-J2S-60A supports high-speed operation in its position control mode, and it supports a maximum input pulse frequency of 500 kpps when using a differential receiver and a maximum input pulse frequency of 200 kpps when using an open collector. The MR-J2S-60A servo amplifier operates with 3.6 Amps of output current, and it operates with 3.2 Amps of input current at 200-230 VAC (3-phase) and 5.5 Amps of input current at 230 VAC (1-phase).
