The Mitsubishi Q25HCPU is a high-performance CPU unit from the MELSEC-Q product line. It supports stored-program and repeat operation for its control method. The Q25HCPU unit consumes 0.64 Amperes of current at 5 Volts DC. A dedicated power supply must be used to provide power for the CPU. The program capacity of the Q25HCPU unit is 252K steps or 1008K bytes. The Q25HCPU CPU supports up to 4096 I/O points that are accessible to the system’s actual I/O module. A USB interface provides connectivity with other USB-enabled devices. The time required to transfer one 26K step program through the USB interface is 12 seconds. One RS-232 serial interface is also available on the Q25HCPU CPU for serial communication with serial-enabled devices such as terminals and computers. The RS-232 interface has a 9-pin D-sub female connector. The time required to transfer one 26K step program through the serial interface is 30 seconds. The operators can mount the Q25HCPU CPU on a rack or on a PLC backplane. The ambient operating temperature rating of the Q25HCPU is 0 to 55 degrees Celsius. The ambient storage temperature rating of the CPU is -25 to 75 degrees Celsius. Supported programming languages include structured text, ladder diagram (relay symbol language), logic symbolic language, function block diagram, MELSAP3, and MELSAP-L. The processing time for a MOV instruction is 0.102 microseconds. The processing time for an LD instruction is 0.034 microseconds. The processing time for a PC MIX value instruction is 10.3 microseconds. The processing time for floating point addition is 0.78 microseconds. Storage options include flash cards, ATA cards, and SRM cards. A battery can be installed to provide backup power. The service life of the battery depends on a number of factors that include the power-on time ratio and ambient temperature.
