The Mitsubishi MDS-C1-SP-300 spindle drive is a high-performance unit designed for CNC machine tools, offering a maximum output capacity of 30kW (130A rated output). The rated input for the spindle drive ranges from DC 270V to 311V, with a corresponding current of 144A. The power supply voltage for the unit is AC 200V to 230V, with a current rating of 0.2A. This spindle drive incorporates a highly efficient heat dissipation structure, resulting in a smaller fin section depth compared to the MDS-A/B Series. The "S" models in the MDS-C1 series have a reduced unit width for space-saving installations. The MDS-C1-SP-300 spindle drive features eight ports and three terminals. Ports CN9, CN6, CN7, and CN8 are open ports, providing flexibility for system integration. In order to connect a spindle motor, the chosen applicable spindle motor's encoder must be connected to the CN5 port using a cable. Additionally, the spindle motor should be linked to the U, V, and W terminals for proper operation. The series of connections is completed by making an NC (No Connection) with the servo drive or linking the CN1B port to a battery module or terminator. Furthermore, the CN4 port of the MDS-C1-SP-300 spindle drive can be connected to the corresponding port of a power supply module. The continuous rated output heating value for the spindle drive unit is 190W. To ensure correct installation and operation, please refer to the connection manuals and select the appropriate power supply and drive unit capacities based on the motor's output and characteristics.
