The MDS-B-SVJ2-10 is a Mitsubishi servo amplifier that was designed to control a variety of Mitsubishi servo motors. A battery must be installed in the absolute position encoder battery holder so that the servo amplifier can operate with an absolute position encoder. A control power connector is supplied with the MDS-B-SVJ2-10 servo amplifier. A cover is used to protect the display section on the device. Interfaces for two NC bus connectors, one motor end detector, and one magnetic brake control output are located on the front panel of the device. A terminal block cover is used to protect the terminal blocks. A grounding terminal is located on the bottom side of the unit. The rated output power of the MDS-B-SVJ2-10 servo amplifier is 1 kilowatt. The nominal input range is 200 to 230 Volts AC (3-phase) and the input voltage fluctuation range is 170 to 253 Volts AC. The MDS-B-SVJ2-10 servo amplifier supports two control methods which are the current control and sine wave PWM methods. The mechanical specifications of the MDS-B-SVJ2-10 include 2 kilograms weight and dimensions at 168 x 90 x 195 millimeters. The protection features available on the device include overcurrent cut-off, overvoltage cut-off, overload cut-off, servo motor overheat protection, detector error protection, re-generation error protection, undervoltage protection, instantaneous power failure protection, over speed protection, and excessive error protection features. The required wiring space on the front side is 75 millimeters. Additionally, at least 40 millimeters of space should be provided on bottom side and 100 millimeters on the top side for wiring. The MDS-B-SVJ2-10 servo amplifier’s housing has an IP20 protection rating.
