The FX3U-4AD function block is an analog input module function block manufactured by Mitsubishi as part of the FX3U series of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and PLC components. PLCs are widely used in industrial automation applications to control and monitor machinery and processes. The FX3U-4AD function block module is designed to interface with an FX3U PLC, and it provides four analog input channels. It supports both voltage and current input signals, allowing for versatile signal acquisition. The module has adjustable offset and gain settings, which enables fine-tuning of the input signals. This ensures accurate measurement and control of analog variables. Another notable feature of the FX3U-4AD module is its built-in sampling function. This function enables the module to capture and convert analog signals into digital data. The time required for A/D conversion is 500 microseconds multiplied by the number of selected channels. This fast conversion time allows for real-time monitoring and control of analog signals. The FX3U-4AD function block operates on a 24 VDC power supply. It has an analog input voltage range of -10 to +10 VDC and an analog input current range of -20 to +20 mA or 4 to 20 mA. The maximum absolute input levels are +/-15V and +/-30 mA, providing a safety margin to protect the module from potential overvoltage or overcurrent conditions. The FX3U-4AD module occupies 8 I/O points on the PLC. It supports 16-bit binary digital output with a sign for voltage and 15-bit binary digital output with a sign for current. The FX3U-4AD module is compact and lightweight.
