The Mitsubishi FX2N-4AD-TC is a special function block designed to amplify and convert signals from four thermocouple sensors, specifically Type K or J. It is capable of providing accurate temperature readings with a resolution of 0.4°C/0.72°F for Type K and 0.3°C/0.54°F for Type J. Thermocouples conforming to Type K and Type J specifications can be used with the channels of FX2N-4AD-TC (it has a total of 4 channels). The FX2N-4AD-TC is compatible with various Mitsubishi PLC models, including the FX0N, FX1N, FX2N, FX2NC, FX3G, FX3U, and FX3UC series. All data transfers and parameter settings are controlled through software, utilizing the TO/FROM applied instructions in the PLC. The digital output is converted into a 12-bit format but it is stored in a 16-bit 2’s complement form. The conversion speed is 240 ms x 4 channels with an error of +-2% (unused channels are not onverted) Occupying 8 I/O points on the FX expansion bus, the FX2N-4AD-TC can allocate these points from either inputs or outputs. It draws 40 mA from the 5V DC digital circuit supply and a 60 mA current is drawn from the analog 24V DC power supply. The unit communicates with the PLC via buffer memories, enabling seamless data transfer and control. The FX2N-4AD-TC can be easily integrated into PLC systems, allowing for the direct connection of other special units or blocks such as analog input blocks, analog output blocks, and high-speed counter blocks. It provides flexibility in system configuration and expansion.
