The Mitsubishi FX2N-32CAN Communication Module is an adaptable interface block that can be used to link a number of different types of Mitsubishi PLC systems to a CANopen network. These Mitsubishi PLC systems include the FX1N and the FX2N(C) PLC systems. This module allows for the smooth transfer of Process Data Object (PDO) information between the PLC and the CANopen network. The maximum amount of words that may be transmitted and received using PDO is 120 words, and any number of words between 1 and 120 can be sent in either direction. The FX2N-32CAN module uses its FROM/TO instructions and its buffer memory to communicate with a PLC. The FX2N-32CAN module has direct mounting holes, a groove, and a hook for installation on a DIN rail. It occupies I/O points on an FX series PLC. Module status updates, including updates about the module’s run mode, FROM/TO commands, data exchange (Tx/Rx), and system errors, are provided by the module's LED indicators. The FX2N-32CAN module has a selectable node address range of 1-127. A single bus segment can support up to 30 nodes, and the maximum number of nodes can be extended to 127 nodes with bridges or repeaters. The module is compatible with connection cables that meet the ISO 11898/1993 standard. It consumes 130 mA of current at 5 V DC and can handle data transmission speeds from 10 kBd all the way up to 1 MBd. The FX2N-32CAN communication module connects compatible Mitsubishi PLCs to CANopen networks, allowing for dependable and efficient two-way communication in a wide variety of industrial automation settings.
