The FX2N-1PG-E by Mitsubishi Electric is an advanced pulse output block. It offers independent control over a single axis and uses the open collector method to provide pulse output through pulse trains with direction. Hence it also supports both forward and reverse rotation. Moreover, it supports a maximum frequency of 100 kHz and ensures high-speed and efficient operation. Also, it features automatic trapezoidal acceleration and deceleration processing. The control unit supports various units of measurement, including pulse, micrometer (μm), 10^-4 inch, and millidegrees (mdeg). The parameter allows users to set magnification values of X 1, X 10, X 10^2, or X 10^3. It operates on a power-supply voltage of 5 volts DC (55 mA, internal power supply from the sequencer) or 24 volts DC (±10%, 40 mA, external power supply). The output functionality includes three points (FP, RP, CLR) with flexible configurations. The pulse output unit (FP/RP) allows for selecting forward rotation (FP)/reverse rotation (RP) or pulse (PLS)/direction (DIR) output forms. The CLR signal indicates the completion of the homing operation or limits switch input with an output pulse width of 20 ms. Open collector transistor output is utilized as the output method. It is suitable for operating within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 55 °C (operating) and -25 to 75 °C (storage). It shows resistance to vibration and impacts. The device also offers noise immunity, withstand voltage and insulation resistance for enhanced reliability and safety. The FX2N-1PG-E has a shipping weight of 1.3 kg, making it convenient to transport and install.
