The FR-E740-7-5K is a Variable Speed Drive, also known as an Adjustable Frequency Drive by Mitsubishi Electric. It is used to control and operate AC motors. This electronic drive is suitable for a wide variety of industrial applications thanks to its power rating of 7.5 kW and its input voltage range of 380 - 480 Volts AC. Some examples of these applications include manufacturing, HVAC, and water treatment plants. Dual control is one of the most notable characteristics of this variable frequency drive (VFD). The FR-E740-7-5K can function using Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) and V/F control methods. These control methods help provide flexibility to respond to various load types and performance needs. Its frequency control range is also rather large, going up to 400 Hz, allowing it to fine-tune both the speed and the torque it produces. A built-in brake chopper is another significant element of this system. This feature permits regenerative braking, improving the system's overall energy efficiency. In addition, it has an overload capacity of 150% of the rated output current for 60 seconds, ensuring it will continue to function reliably even under difficult circumstances. It uses an RS-485 interface with Modbus RTU for communication, and it may be further expanded with optional communication cards, enabling integration into various control networks. For communication, it can use an RS-485 interface. This variable frequency drive (VFD) also comes with various protective capabilities, such as protection against overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, and overheating, ensuring that the device will continue to perform securely and reliably.
