The AX40-UL module is an input module manufactured by Mitsubishi. It is designed to provide reliable and efficient input connections for Mitsubishi MELSEC-A automation systems. The AX40-UL module comes with 16 input points, making it suitable for applications requiring multiple input signals. It operates with a DC sink configuration, and its input voltage ratings are 12/24V DC. Its isolation method is photo-coupler isolation, and this isolation method enhances safety and prevents signal interference in the system. The AX40-UL module's input current ratings are 4 mA with 12V DC and 10 mA with 24V DC, allowing it to handle various types of input devices with different current requirements. The AX40-UL input module supports a fast response time of 10 ms or less (OFF to ON and ON to OFF), enabling quick and accurate detection of input signals. It also features LED indicators for each input point that provide visual feedback on the status of the corresponding inputs. The trigger voltage required for turning the input module ON is 9.5V DC or higher, while the trigger voltage required for turning it OFF is 6V DC or lower, ensuring reliable and consistent switching. When all of its inputs are powered ON, the AX40-UL input module operates with a typical internal current consumption rating of 55 mA. The AX40-UL input module requires a Class 2 power supply that complies with the UL standards for safety and reliability. Overall, the AX40-UL 16-point input module by Mitsubishi combines a compact design with advanced features to deliver efficient and accurate input control for automation systems.
