The AG60 module is a Mitsubishi MELSEC-A series blank or blanking module. It does not include any functional inputs or outputs. The purpose of the AG60 blank or blanking module is to fill an empty slot in a compatible Mitsubishi MELSEC-A series extension base unit in a Mitsubishi MELSEC-A series programmable controller system. The AG60 blank or blanking module is compatible with the Mitsubishi MELSEC-A QA65B extension base unit and with the Mitsubishi MELSEC-A QA68B extension base unit. Unused slots in Mitsubishi MELSEC-A QA65B and Mitsubishi MELSEC-A QA68B extension base units should not be left vacant. If a slot is left vacant, it could become damaged by dust, debris, dirt, moisture, chemicals, or other pollutants in its operating environment. These pollutants could enter and damage the Mitsubishi MELSEC-A programmable controller system through vacant slots in its base units, and the vacant slots may become too damaged to function. Installing a blank or blanking module like the AG60 blank or blanking module is essential to protect the whole Mitsubishi MELSEC-A programmable controller system. The AG60 blank or blanking module will protect the slot that it covers from a variety of common industrial pollutants. As a result, this module helps to extend the operating lifespan of the whole Mitsubishi MELSEC-A programmable controller system. The AG60 blank or blanking module should not be removed from its slot in the extension base unit unless another module is being installed in its place. It is also known as a placeholder module. The AG60 blank or blanking module can be used at ambient temperatures between 0 and 55 degrees Celsius.
