The AD75P3-S3 module is a Mitsubishi positioning module. It requires 5 Volts DC of supply voltage, and it typically consumes 0.7 Amps of current or less at 5 Volts DC. However, with a differential driver, the AD75P3-S3 module consumes 0.78 Amps of current. The external dimensions of the positioning module are 250 x 37.5 x 106 millimeters. The weight of the AD75P3-S3 module is 450 grams. The module can operate with a differential drive or an open collector. When it operates with a differential driver, its peak output pulse rate is 400 kpps. When it operates with an open collector, the peak output pulse rate is 200 kpps. Additionally, when connected with a differential driver option, the AD75P3-S3 module supports a 10-meter connection distance between adjacent servos. When connected with an open collector, the module supports a 2-meter connection distance between adjacent servos. A mode switch is located on the front panel of the AD75P3-S3 module, and it is used to change or select the module’s operating mode. The AD75P3-S3 positioning module has a 17-segment LED display on its front panel. One RS-422 interface and 3 external connection ports are also located on the front panel of the AD75P3-S3 module. The RS-422 interface can be used for connecting to a peripheral device. The AD75P3-S3 positioning module can be connected to a drive unit, a manual pulse device, or a machine input. Mitsubishi recommends using AWG 24 to 30 wire for external device connections. The AD75P3-S3 positioning module controls the position of a servo motor through a servo amplifier.
