The AD75M1 by Mitsubishi is a positioning module designed for controlling and coordinating the movement of a single axis in industrial automation applications. One of the notable features of the AD75M1 is its support for SSCNET, a high-speed serial communication network developed by Mitsubishi. The SSCNET network allows the AD75M1 module to establish a reliable connection with servo motors that are up to 30 meters away by using SSCNET connection cables. The AD75M1 positioning module supports a maximum output command speed of 1 Mpps, enabling rapid and accurate motor control. The positioning module supports various control methods to suit different application requirements. It supports PTP (point to point) control for precise positioning of the servo motor to specified coordinates. Additionally, it supports path control, enabling the definition of linear or arc paths for the motor to follow. Speed control and speed/position changeover control are also available, and they provide flexibility for adjusting the motor's velocity and smoothly transitioning between speed and position-based operations. To ensure reliable operation and data integrity, the AD75M1 includes a built-in flash ROM for storing parameters and positioning data. This flash ROM is battery-less, eliminating the need for regular battery replacements. It can withstand up to 100,000 write operations, ensuring long-lasting performance and durability. The AD75M1 has a compact and lightweight design, and it weighs only 0.45 kg. This makes it suitable for applications where space is limited, and its compact size and low weight also make it easy to install and integrate into existing systems.
