The Mitsubishi AD61 is a high-speed counter module that was painstakingly built to improve the performance of MELSEC-A programmable controllers. The AD61 module offers flexibility and supports the effective handling of high-speed counting operations in a range of control settings. It comes with 32 I/O points and 2 channels. The AD61 module can be subjected to a wide variety of operating circumstances and operate safely. Both its operational temperature range, which extends from 0 to 55 degrees Celsius, and its storage temperature range, which extends from -10 to 75 degrees Celsius, are extremely versatile. The fact that the module can operate or be stored at an ambient humidity range of 10 to 90% RH without condensation further demonstrates that it is suitable for usage in a variety of environments. This module is compliant with both the JIS C 0911 and JIS C 0912 standards, and it is resistant to moderate levels of vibration and shock. The fact that it can sustain noise voltages of up to 1000Vpp and that it can retain an insulation resistance rating of 5M Ohms or more further solidifies its position as a dependable and durable MELSEC-A controller system component. The AD61 was developed to operate in environments that are free of corrosive gasses and that have minimum amounts of dust. Because it uses a method of self-cooling, it does not need additional cooling systems or devices in most operating environments. The AD61 high-speed counter module operates independently of the CPU in the MELSEC-A programmable controller that it is installed in, and it counts pulses for the CPU that occur at frequencies that are too high for the CPU counters.
