The A35B unit is a CPU main base unit that was produced by Mitsubishi Electric. It is used as the main installation base in a rack-based MELSEC A series programmable controller system for industrial automation and control applications. The A35B main base unit is designed to provide a platform for the installation of various system modules, including the CPU and CPU power supply for the programmable controller system. The A35B main base unit has designated slots for accommodating the CPU and the power supply to support easy integration and configuration for these components the system. The rack system that the A35B unit is part of provides a standardized and organized approach for housing and connecting various system components. The A35B base unit supports a maximum of 5 I/O modules on its own for flexible configuration and scalability. These modules can be easily connected to the base unit to provide input and output capabilities for interfacing with external devices and sensors. The expansion port on the A35B unit allows for the connection of additional modules and additional expansion bases, enabling the system to handle more I/O points and functionalities. The A35B base unit was designed to be easy to install and easy to mount modules on. It features 6mm (0.24 inch) holes for M5 screws that make it easy to mount and secure in place. The external dimensions of the A35B main base unit are 382 mm (15.04 inches) in width, 250 mm (9.84 inches) in depth, and 29 mm (1.14 inches) in height.
