The A2CPU-R21 data link module is part of the Mitsubishi MELSEC-A programmable controller series. This data link module supports a coaxial type of data link connection with coaxial cables. The A2CPU-R21 data link module is capable of supporting 336 input and output points on its own in a system. If the A2CPU-R21 data link module is combined with an extension base, it is capable of supporting up to 480 input and output points in a system. It can support an allowable momentary power failure time rating of within 20 milliseconds. The A2CPU-R21 data link module supports a communication speed of 1.25 mbps when it operates. The module also supports a bit serial and half duplex type of communication method. The A2CPU-R21 data link module’s synchronous method option is the frame synchronous method option. Its transmission path option is the duplex loop method option. The A2CPU-R21 data link module supports an overall loop distance rating of 10 km maximum with a 500 m station interval. The overall loop distance is the distance between sending port in the master station in the system and the receiving port of the master in the system via the system slave stations. The A2CPU-R21 data link module can support up to 65 units per loop, and these 65 units include 1 master station and 64 local I/O stations or remote I/O stations. The A2CPU-R21 data link module supports a CMI demodulation method. It has an error control system that allows it to retry when it experiences errors during operation. The A2CPU-R21 data link module should be used in a non-hazardous indoor industrial environment.
