Catalog number A1SX80 is a 16-channel digital input module for Mitsubishi MELSEC-A series PLCs. The MELSEC-A series AnS PLCs include powerful CPUs with quick processing capabilities, enabling efficient control program execution and high-speed data processing. The series has a variety of CPU models with varying performance levels, allowing users to select the best model for their application. Because of its scalability, the MELSEC-A series AnS is appropriate for both small and large-scale automation applications. The MELSEC-A series AnS PLCs support a variety of I/O modules, including digital and analog inputs and outputs, special function modules, and communication modules. This adaptability allows for smooth interaction with various types of field devices and simplifies complex automation configurations. Ethernet, serial communication (RS-232, RS-485), and industrial network protocols (e.g., CC-Link, Profibus, Modbus) are all supported by the MELSEC-A series AnS PLCs. This allows for simple connection with other automation devices and systems, including HMIs, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and higher-level control systems. Advanced features include motion control, positioning control, high-speed counter functions, and data logging. These capabilities enable precise motion system control, precise actuator positioning, and data collection for analysis and troubleshooting. The MELSEC-A series PLCs' A1SX80 module has a rated input voltage of 12/24 volts DC and can be operated as either positive or negative switching. It also has photocoupler isolation between the input terminals and the PC power, as well as LED input status indication. It is a low-cost and dependable method of adding digital input functionality to the PLCs for multiple applications. The Mitsubishi A1SX80 DC digital input unit has an IP65 protection-based casing and an operating temperature range of -10 to 55 degrees Celsius.
