The A1SD75P2-S3 is a 2-axis positioning module from Mitsubishi Electric. It connects to a servo driver and controls the position of a motor. Its internal current consumption rating is 0.7 Amps or less at 5 Volts DC for both differential drive and open collector connections to a servo driver. The internal flash memory on the A1SD75P2-S3 module can be written to 100,000 times. The A1SD75P2-S3 module occupies 32 input/output points. The approximate weight of the A1SD75P2-S3 positioning module is 0.35 kilograms. The height of the module is 130 millimeters, its depth is 94 millimeters, and its width is 35 millimeters. The A1SD75P2-S3 module mounts vertically. With a differential drive connection, the A1SD75P2-S3 module supports 10 meters of connection distance between system servos. With an open collector connection, the A1SD75P2-S3 module supports 2 meters of connection distance between system servos. The maximum output pulse rating of the A1SD75P2-S3 module when it is connected to a differential drive is 400 kpps. The maximum output pulse rating of the module when it is connected to an open collector is 200 kpps. Depending on the application, Mitsubishi recommends AWG 24 or AWG 28 wire size for connections made to the module. A mode switch, one RS-422 interface, and 2 axis interfaces are located on the front panel of the A1SD75P2-S3 module. The RS-422 interface is used to connect peripheral devices. The 36-pin axis interfaces are used to make axis connections. Installers must securely insert the latches at the bottom of the A1SD75P2-S3 positioning module into the mounting holes on the base unit in order to install the module securely.
