The AP-VMA1420 Modular Variable Air Volume Assembly is part of the VMA1400 series, which normally contains a controller, a pressure sensor unit, and/or actuator-type tools. Part number AP-VMA1420 was designed to have cooling capabilities, as well as reheating capabilities. This product may be housed in a single pre-assembled unit. The recommended ambient operating temperature ranges from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, with non-condensing relative humidity levels of 10 to 95 percent. Additionally, the recommended ambient storing temperature ranges from -40 to 70 degrees Celsius. The AP-VMA1420 includes an integrated actuator with a stepper class motor drive system for quick and precise damper placement. Although this module is designed for pressure-independent solitary duct systems, it may also be used in series or parallel supporter boxes, supply/exhaust operations, and dual duct structures. For faster commissioning, the AP-VMA1420 variable air volume component has a fast response actuator that drives the damper from completely open to fully closed (90°) in 30 seconds. Furthermore, due to its unique properties that reduce the installation and activation time while enhancing variable air volume (VAV) system performance, catalog number AP-VMA1420 is the preferred option for VAV systems. It also includes sophisticated diagnostics for detecting and correcting system deviations related to flow, damper travel, and energy, as well as RS-485 serial interfaces and N2 network communications for incorporating itself as a component of a facility management system with an NCM or N30 series supervisory controllers. This module has been certified following the standards set forth by CE and CSA.
