The FA-UNT111-2 controller is a Metasys FA Unitary Controller or UNT with spade quick connects that was manufactured by Johnson Controls. It is designed to provide control and monitoring capabilities in HVAC systems for single rooms or zones. The controller operates on 24 VAC of rated voltage at 50/60 Hz, making it compatible with standard power sources commonly found in buildings. The FA-UNT111-2 is equipped with six analog inputs that can accept various types of temperature elements, including RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) elements such as 1000-ohm nickel, platinum, or silicon elements. It can also supprt adjustable 0 to 2k ohm setpoint potentiometers and 0 to 10 VDC or 0 to 2 VDC transmitters for monitoring and control purposes with its analog inputs. Additionally, the FA-UNT111-2 controller includes four binary inputs, which are designed to accept 24 VAC input signals. It also supports a momentary pushbutton input at a zone sensor. One of the binary inputs (BI 4) can be utilized as an accumulator input for frequencies below 2 Hz. The FA-UNT111-2 incorporates both N2 Bus and Zone Bus communication interfaces. The N2 Bus is isolated to ensure reliable communication and data transmission. The Zone Bus utilizes a 8-pin phone jack or a removable screw terminal block on the controller. The FA-UNT111-2 controller meets several industrial standards, including the FCC Part 15 (Subpart B, Class A), IEEE 472, IEEE 587 (Category A), UL 916, and UL 864 standards. These certifications ensure that the controller meets the necessary safety and regulatory requirements for installation in commercial and industrial environments. The physical dimensions of the FA-UNT111-2 are 165 x 163 x 51 mm without an enclosure, making it suitable for installation in HVAC systems with limited space available.
