Metasys NU
The Metasys NU series is a range of network control modules (NCMs) developed by Johnson Controls. These NCMs are used to link and control different devices in a Metasys building automation system (BAS). NU series NCMs can use Ethernet cards, a range of digital control options, and a variety of network communication modules in their applications. The NU series NCMs are suitable for a wide range of applications, such as applications in commercial buildings, healthcare institutions, and industrial plants where they can be used as the central control and monitoring points for HVAC, lighting, security, and other building systems. The Metasys NU series includes several NCM models, each with its own set of features and capabilities. The NU-NCM300 is a basic model with a local bus that can support up to 128 devices. The NU-NCM350 is a more advanced model that can accommodate up to 256 devices and has an integrated web server. The NU-NCM500 is the series' most powerful model, supporting up to 512 devices. The Metasys NU series includes security features like encryption and authentication, and they are compatible with a wide range of Metasys devices, such as controllers, sensors, and actuators. The NU NCMs can connect to the Metasys network via an N1 LAN or an N2 bus, and they can support a range of devices on their local bus. The NC series NCMs are designed to operate at standard temperature ranges between 32 degrees Fahrenheit and 122 degrees Fahrenheit, but some NCMs can operate at lower temperatures with enclosure heaters and at higher temperatures with additional forced-cooling devices.
