The MS-NAE4510-2 has multiple communication ports. It includes two RS-232-C serial ports, which allow for connectivity with external devices such as modems. This enables remote access and monitoring capabilities, enhancing the system's flexibility and ease of management. Additionally, the MS-NAE4510-2 offers one USB port, facilitating further connectivity options. It also has an Ethernet port that enables seamless integration with Ethernet-based networks and enables communication and data exchange with other networked devices and systems. This Ethernet port allows for centralized control and coordination of various building automation system functions for energy efficiency and operational performance. The MS-NAE4510-2 is equipped with 128 MB of flash memory for storing system configuration settings, programming logic, and other essential data. This ensures that the network automation engine can effectively handle the requirements of complex automation and control applications. The NAE4510-2 unit supports an N2 or BACnet MS/TP (RS-485) trunk for seamless integration with devices utilizing these protocols. The network automation engine supports up to 100 devices on the N2 or BACnet MS/TP trunk, making it suitable for medium to large-scale building automation systems. To ensure uninterrupted operation and data protection, the NAE4510-2 can support a Johnson Controls MS-BAT1020-0 data protection battery. This battery provides backup power in case of a power outage, safeguarding critical data and maintaining system functionality.
